An update to my red rose fall bouquet set

This is an updated picture of a Set that I sell on ebay (I believe I've posted a previous picture on the blog as well).

It's lovely, and I will miss it once the fall bridal season is over (which will be before too long). It will hopefully reappear next year, late Aug.

I've gotten lots of praise from the brides who have purchased it...only positive responses, which is my goal for ALL of my clients. And so far, so good. :)

Wedding Dress Uses...

If you'll look at the background to my pictures, you see lovely satin fabric, maybe some lace, a bow, that would be my wedding dress. I'm glad I'm getting more of my money's worth out of it! :) It's been stored away for almost 8 years now (our anniversary is Sept 23), and now, I've put it back to work!

A popular Bouquet

This is bouquet set is loved by many. It's really great, and obviously popular with the fall season (note to self to remember this for next fall!). I can see this as a great Christmas wedding seller too with winter greens/icicles instead of fall leaves.

Julie's Top Ten Favorites

These are my Favorites so far, in no particular order! I'll comment where it will let me....
This pink and green bouquet is my most recent creation (made yesterday, 9/9/08). It wow'd even me! Currently, in the top 3 of my favorites.

I love the fall colors. This one is up on ebay now. It's the right time of year and gets lots of looks.

The blue one was for a Chicago bride who's having a destination wedding in the Caribbean. I can't wait to see the pictures! I love the blue bouquets, blue's my favorite color....if only there were more blue flowers....

I can make cascade bouquets too! :)

They do take more time, but turn out just as nice.

Round, hand-tied bouquets are the going style right now...I like them both!

Inspired by Mom's Bouquet

I love Calla Lilies, but it's really hard to find nice ones in silk that don't cost a fortune and don't look TOOOO fake. I usually just get lucky if I find them. This was a great Calla bouquet, and as you can see HUGE!!! I have a round Calla Lily bouquet up on ebay right now. My seller ID is msmonroe.

This is a nice classy Ivory Rose bouquet.

This is Mom's bouquet. I think there's 40 roses in it....this was probably the hardest of all of the bouquets I've made. Trying to keep forty stems in a tight formation to create the round bouquet...oh, and don't forget the greens and bows too.....totally worth it though.
I hope you enjoyed my Top Ten. I can recreate any of these, the hard part is finding the flowers. I don't shop at wholesalers, I shop clearances in all the same stores that you do. So, those peonies in picture one, might not be available next spring.....so, that bouquet could very well be a one of a kind. Although, I can make things that are similar to it!

Getting started!

At the suggestion of my 'Georgia Peach Bride', I'm setting up this blog to showcase pictures of the wedding flowers (and other floral items) I have and will make. A portfolio if you will. I have pictures, pictures, pictures of flowers, but no one sees them on my desktop.

This is (fingers crossed) Katrina's (my 'Georgia Peach Bride') bridal bouquet. Reminder to myself, add a "Top 10" list to this blog, this bouquet is ON IT! I love it, and have threatened to not send it because I WANT IT! But when the order's ready, I will bid it farewell with a tear in my eye. :)

There will be more pictures to come, with stories if I have them. It's a blog for admirers, brides-to-be, others with silk flower needs, etc etc etc.

I'll get to work on my "About me" profile, and other information on the Blog....so far, this is all I've got. I need to eat lunch! :D

Be back soon!,

Julie
